Taal Volcano

Taal Volcano, Restless Taal Volcano in Batangas province is showing increased activity, a day after the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) raised the alert level on the volcano. "Seismicity of the volcano, deformation of the soil and carbon dioxide content remain high. We will keep watching the volcano's activity will intensify in the coming days. But for now, the alert level 2 remains hoisted over the volcano Taal, "said PHIVOLCS science research specialist Jojo Gordon. In its latest bulletin volcano, PHIVOLCS detected six volcanic earthquakes around the Taal Volcano in the last hours. Although the number of volcanic earthquakes is less than the 21 earthquakes on Saturday, about the seismicity of the volcano is still active.
