China Human Rights

China Human Rights, The United States is beset by violence, racism and torture and has no authority to condemn the problems of the governments of other human rights, China said Sunday, in the fight against U.S. criticism Beijing's repression. The dispute between Beijing and Washington over human rights has intensified since the ruling Communist Party of China extended its crackdown on dissidents and rights activists, a move that has provoked protests from Washington and other Western governments. Chinese artist Ai Weiwei is the most prominent activist arrested by the police or secret custody last offensive. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Friday she was "deeply troubled" by it, citing "negative tendencies", including the arrest of Ai. A report by the U.S. State Department global human rights released on Friday said that Beijing has stepped up restrictions on lawyers, activists, bloggers and journalists, and tightened controls over civil society.
