Notre Dame Student Death

Notre Dame Student Death, 20-year videographer football at Notre Dame on Wednesday was almost identical to that seriously injured a student at Colorado State University 10 years ago Wednesday, 20-year junior Declan Sullivan of Long Grove, Illinois, died after the scissor lift he was filming practice Notre Dame football has fallen more than 51 mph winds. "My thoughts, my prayers went out to his family," said Shane Ballew. "It was an unfortunate accident." In December 2000, Ballew was 23 years over a lift of 30 meters above water filming of the CSU football practice when strong winds toppled structure. "I sort of leaned a moment to fix the camera bag to jump from the tower and I stand up I began to realize that the tower had begun to reverse," said Ballew. Ballew broke several ribs, punctured lungs and damage the liver. A friend of Ballew, Brian Cook, told 9News Ballew worried when working on the lift during high winds.
