Yusuf, Thousands of fans packed the National Mall in Washington DC on Saturday (October 30) by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert "Rally to restore sanity and / or fear," and the two comedians political thread brought out a series of legends entertain the crowd. About half of the show, which presented a set of nearly 40 minutes of John Legend and The Roots, Stewart announced the next performer, Yusuf Islam. The pop icon formerly known as Cat Stevens, hit the stage with an acoustic version of "Peace Train." However, instead of letting Yusuf quietly strumming along, Colbert broke on stage, ranting about the song's message of harmony.
